Easy way to Install Linux With USB
Now you can install Linux operating system only in 5 minutes by using a tool UNetbootin. Minimal USB capacity that is needed to install Linux is 1 GB. So make sure that your USB capacity is enough before you install it. BesideĀ USB , you also has to own Linux distribution that required.
Here are soe Linux distributr that usually needed: Mandriva, netBSD, NTPasswr, openSUSE, Ophcrack, Parted Magic, PClinuxOS, Puppy Linux, Slax, SliTaZ, Smart Boot Manager, Arch linux, BackTrack, CentOS, CloneZilla, Super Grub Disk, Ubuntu, Xubunu, Zenwalk, Damn Small Linux, Debian, Dream Linux, Elive, FaunOS, Fedora, Frugalware, Gentoo, Gujin, Kubuntu, Linux Mint.
This is one example of Lix installation by using Linux Distro Back Track 3 and Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS with Kingstone Data Traveler 2.0 1 GB USB. Here are the steps:
1. Download UNetbootin then save it into your desktop
2. Rght click on UNetbootin, then click properties
3. Click on tab Permissions
4. Check Allow executing file as program box then click on close button
5. Plug your USB into PC port. This is an important thing that you have to plug USB first before you opene UNetbootin. When you open UNetbootin then plug the USB later, you won’t be able to use the USB
6. Double click on exe file of UNetbootin already downloaded
7. Open the application by typing keyword
8. Choose distributor and Linux version
9. Choose type of installation then click OK
10. Reboot your computer and boot it from your USB. Now you can use your Portable Linux operating system
